Beckhoff & EtherCAT Systems

Deterministic control on Beckhoff and EtherCAT — from small standalone single-controller systems up to multi-controller architectures.

The challenge

Sortation, merging and real-time tracking all depend on one thing underneath: control that is deterministic. Timing has to be repeatable to the cycle, not best-effort, or none of the higher-level behaviour holds up at speed. And the platform has to fit the job — small enough to be economical for a standalone machine, yet able to grow into a coordinated, plant-wide architecture without being rebuilt.

What we build

We build control systems on Beckhoff and EtherCAT, from small standalone single-controller systems up to multi-controller architectures. The same engineering approach spans both ends of that range — a single controller running one machine, or many controllers coordinated across a large installation — so the platform matches the scale of the operation rather than forcing the operation to the platform.

The technology

EtherCAT provides the deterministic, high-speed fieldbus that keeps timing tight across distributed I/O and drives; Beckhoff's control platform runs the real-time logic on top. Together they give the repeatable, cycle-accurate control that cross-belt sortation, bi-directional diverts, multi-line merge and sub-20-millisecond tracking all rely on — and the same architecture scales out as more controllers, axes and I/O are added.

Why it matters

The control platform is the foundation every other capability stands on. Building on Beckhoff and EtherCAT means deterministic performance at any scale — a small standalone system today that can grow into a multi-controller architecture tomorrow, on the same proven foundation.
